Online Quran Memorization (Hifz) Program for Kids & Adults
Memorize the Quran online with one dedicated teacher, a fixed routine of new lessons and revision, and weekly tests, all from home on Zoom.
Memorize the Quran online with a dedicated teacher
Our online Hifz program is a structured Quran memorization course for students who already read the Quran fluently. Each student works one-to-one with the same teacher, who sets the daily lesson, listens to every portion and keeps revision on track. Hifz is a long journey, and the routine and accountability matter as much as the memorizing itself.
The program suits families in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand who want Hifz classes online without travelling to a full-time madrasa. In the UK this is often called Quran memorisation; the method is the same.
Who the Hifz program is for
- Children who read the Quran fluently and are ready to start memorizing
- Students who started Hifz before and want to continue or strengthen what they memorized
- Adults who want to memorize the Quran around work and family (online Hifz for adults)
- Students who prefer a male or female teacher
If your child is not reading fluently yet, start with our Quran reading classes. Correct reading first makes memorization faster and more accurate.
How our Hifz classes are structured
- Sabaq (new lesson): a new portion memorized and recited to the teacher
- Sabqi (recent revision): the pages memorized in the last days, so they stay fresh
- Manzil (older revision): regular revision of earlier Juz so nothing is forgotten
- Tajweed while memorizing: mistakes are corrected before they become habits
- Weekly tests on the portions memorized
Classes are live and one-to-one on Zoom. Choose 4 classes a week of 30 minutes, or 5 or 6 classes a week of 45 minutes, at times arranged in your time zone (24/7 flexible timing). See all plans on the fees page.
What parents see every month
Parents abroad often cannot see what happens in class. For every enrolled Hifz student we send a monthly progress report on WhatsApp: classes attended, the portions memorized and revised, Tajweed, fluency and memorization scores, the teacher's notes, and a 30-Juz progress map that shows how far your child has come. Students receive a certificate when they complete their course.
Short of full Hifz?
If your goal is to memorize Juz Amma, surahs for Salah or specific surahs such as Yaseen or Al-Mulk, our surah memorization classes are a better fit. Students who want stronger recitation first can take the online Tajweed course.
Quran Memorization (Hifz) Program: questions parents ask
Can I do Hifz online?
Yes. With a live one-to-one teacher, a fixed class schedule and regular revision, Hifz online follows the same method as in a madrasa: sabaq, sabqi and manzil, recited to the teacher in every class.
Can you become a Hafiz at home?
Yes, many students memorize the Quran at home. The important part is a teacher who listens to every lesson and keeps revision going, plus daily practice between classes.
At what age should a child start Hifz?
There is no fixed age. Most children start once they read the Quran fluently with correct pronunciation, often between 7 and 10 years old. Adults can start at any age.
How many years does it take to do Hifz?
It varies a lot from student to student. It depends on how many days a week the student studies, how much they memorize each day, their age and their revision. Your teacher will set a pace that the student can keep up.
Do you offer an online Hifz program for adults?
Yes. Adults join the same one-to-one program, with class times arranged around work and family in their own time zone.
